Empowering Marginalized Communities in the Outdoors

Founded by Nehemiah Brown in 2023, Gift of Gravel is a non-profit organization on a mission to diversify outdoor activities. In its inaugural year, the organization made a profound impact, awarding over 50 scholarships to BIPOC cyclists. Gift of Gravel is committed to providing accessible and affordable programs to marginalized communities, recognizing that economic status, race, or ethnicity often acts as a barrier to outdoor engagement.

At the core of Gift of Gravel's philosophy is the belief that experiencing the outdoors is essential for a healthy, fulfilling life. The organization works diligently to remove these barriers, ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy the wonders of nature. Through micro-grants, Gift of Gravel supports riders in covering costs for gear, travel, and access to outdoor events, promoting a more inclusive and equitable outdoor community.
